| Our policy on wider action was developed with our tenants in order to focus on service users’ priorities. We are committed to a wider range of regeneration activities than housing alone, whilst still using housing as the key enabler. Our status as a community owned and run organisation should make us attractive to policy makers and prospective partners as a body with the potential to have a positive impact on community regeneration.
Our model is established and successful in terms of the quality of housing and environment produced, including the development of sustainable communities. We have delivered or helped partner agencies deliver a number of projects aimed at tackling poverty, building communities, and supporting people back into work. This activity has been supported by grant assistance from North Lanarkshire Council, the Scottish Government and a range of other funders at local, national and European level.
We review our policy objectives regularly. This ensures that we continue to meet identified need, work with supportive agencies and plan projects that we have the capacity to deliver. |
